La Posada del Vencejo sits in Alles, a village of indiano architecture in Peñamellera Alta. From here you have the Picos de Europa close by, the Llanes coast with its 30-odd beaches, the caves where Cabrales cheese is matured, the cider houses of the area and towns steeped in history such as Potes, Colombres and Santander. A base for several trips in one: mountains, sea, food and heritage.
