Pico Liño (1,323 m) is one of the most visited summits in the Sierra del Cuera, the coastal range that separates eastern Asturias from the Picos de Europa. Its main appeal is the double panorama: to the north, the Cantabrian Sea and the Llanes coast; to the south, the Cornión and the central massif of the Picos.
The usual ascent starts near Posada de Llanes or Caldueño and combines forest tracks with open path higher up. The moderate height and manageable climb make it accessible to walkers with some basic experience.
It’s worth avoiding days of low mist: the Cuera is often wrapped in cloud, and you lose precisely what you came to see. To pick out the line and choose the right day, we’d suggest checking with a local guide.
