The Aula de la Miel (honey centre) is a beekeeping interpretation centre devoted to the honey of the Picos de Europa and the Sierra del Cuera. Thanks to the range of flowers in the area — heather, lavender, mountain meadows — the region produces single-flower and multi-flower honeys of real quality.
The guided visit pairs the explanation (the life of the bee, the beekeeper’s craft, a look at live hives) with a tasting of several local honeys. It’s a short visit, easy for all ages and a good one to do with children.
