That is how La Posada del Vencejo came about: a small, well-tended place where hospitality is not a service but a way of welcoming people.

Why “del Vencejo”?
The swift (Apus apus) is a migratory bird that spends most of its life on the wing: it eats, sleeps and mates in the air. Yet every spring it returns to the very same spot to nest.
The parallel with the traveller who chooses one particular place to rest is a direct one. The swift is neither exotic nor showy: it is elegant, hardy, unassuming. It travels far but it comes back. It heralds the spring. And when it lands, it lands where it feels at home.

How we see hospitality
We are not a chain or a holiday let. We are a small project that chooses to stay small. Six rooms and an apartment — not because we couldn't have more, but because this way every guest matters.
We do what any good host would do, knowing their guests will come back: not promising what we can't deliver, caring about the details, treating each guest the way we would want to be treated when we arrive tired from walking and someone opens the door with a smile.
