Toró beach is the picture-postcard of the Llanes coast: vertical karst rocks rising from the water like small islets, fine golden sand, and water that, at high tide, is unusually clear for the Atlantic.
Unlike the open beaches, Toró is sheltered by the rocks themselves, which cuts the swell and makes it comfortable for swimming. The central section is covered at high tide; at low water the sand doubles and pools and rocky stretches appear to explore.
Five minutes on foot from the centre of Llanes, which makes for an easy day out: a walk around the town, lunch at a cider house, an afternoon on the beach. Full facilities in season. Thirty minutes from Alles.
