The eastern Asturian coast is broken up into many beaches facing different directions, which makes for very variable surf conditions. That means there’s almost always a beach worth surfing on any given day — you just need to know where to look.
The busiest beaches are San Antolín, Vidiago, Andrín and Toró itself: waves that suit beginners (San Antolín especially, on a mid tide) and more demanding peaks for advanced surfers. The best swell runs from September to May, though summer has its days too, and the water is warmer then.
Surf schools run courses for every level, with kit hire and a qualified instructor. Thirty minutes from Alles.
There are local surf schools you can contact for prices and to book the activity.
